The Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) announced on April 11 the launch of a new Training Program in Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement for Student Leaders. The initiative aims to equip student representatives with skills to actively participate in the university’s ongoing quality processes.
This program is intended for students who are members of quality committees, faculty councils, and top academic performers within their schools. It seeks to help them understand and contribute to the standards that guide university life.
“The participation of student leaders is not complementary, it is essential. They are the voice of the university community and their involvement in quality processes strengthens the legitimacy and sustainability of our institutional achievements,” said UNMSM officials in a statement.
Initially, students from Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geographic Engineering, Electronic Engineering programs will take part. Sessions will be held both in person at the Telematics Network Auditorium on Fridays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and virtually on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., starting Friday, April 17 for five weeks.
