UNMSM approves results of 2026 faculty promotion process

The Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos approved on April 22 the final results of its 2026 faculty promotion process, following Rectoral Resolution No. 004403-2026-R and its amendment No. 004700-2026-R.

The session was led by Rector Dr. Jeri Ramón Ruffner de Vega, with the General Secretariat presenting a report from the commission in charge. The report included a list of faculty members who achieved promotions within their respective faculties.

After discussion, the council unanimously approved the report. A total of 52 positions were filled: 25 as full professors and 27 as associate professors. The official call for this promotion process was established through Rectoral Resolution No. 004403-2026-R, which set out the timeline and available positions.

According to current regulations, participating faculty had to meet requirements such as confirmation in their existing category, minimum service time, and specific scores based on merits, academic degrees, and indexed publications.
