The Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) announced on March 17 that the 52nd edition of its Book Fair will take place from March 23 to April 1. The event, organized by the Fondo Editorial PUCP, will feature new books, cultural products, and creative proposals for students, faculty, administrative staff, and visitors. The fair aims to continue promoting reading habits within the university community.

The Book Fair is scheduled to run Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the esplanade of the Centro de Innovación Académica (CIA). On its opening day, which coincides with the start of the academic term, doors will open at 9 a.m. This year’s edition will include a special experience zone offering activities such as games, musical performances, and a gastronomic area with specialty coffee.

Members of the PUCP community will have access to special payment options during the fair. Students can charge their purchases to their third or fourth tuition bill by presenting their university ID along with their national identification card. Faculty and administrative staff may use payroll deduction for purchases.

All attendees are eligible to participate in a raffle organized by Fondo Editorial PUCP. To enter, participants must make a purchase, fill out a form, and interact with social media at the Fondo Editorial stand. The prize consists of two free books of choice; the raffle will be held on Wednesday, April 1.

This year’s fair brings together 37 exhibitors including established publishers such as Planeta Perú, Fondo de Cultura Económica, Instituto de Estudios Peruanos, Ibero A&G, Librerías Crisol, Editorial Océano, Palestra Editores, Jurista Editores and Heraldos Negros. Independent publishers and cultural projects like Revuelta Ediciones and La Indie Books will also participate alongside creative brands such as Malabares and Huachiperry.

Institutional spaces like Librería PUCP and the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism are included among exhibitors. Urano World joins this edition with editorial offerings aimed at new audiences and reading trends.
