The Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú announced on Apr. 14 a process that allows students to split their academic fee into two payments, instead of paying the full amount at once.
This initiative aims to help students better manage their finances by dividing each academic installment. The university said the first payment must meet a minimum percentage: at least 15% of the original amount for those in categories G1 through G5, and at least 30% for those in categories G6 through G9. The remaining balance is then scheduled as a second payment.
According to the announcement, “the first part keeps the same due date as the original fee. If you do not pay it on time, late interest will be applied according to the Regulations on Ordinary Academic Rights Payments and rates set by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP). The same applies if you miss the deadline for the second part.” Students are encouraged to follow all deadlines closely to avoid additional charges.
To request this split payment option via Campus Virtual PUCP, students should access their personal page, select ‘Economía,’ and choose ‘Desdoblamiento de Cuota académica.’ There they can view both their original and split quotas, adjust percentages if desired, confirm with their password, and print out new payment documents.
Key dates have been provided for each academic installment in cycle 2026-1. For example, applications for splitting the second quota are open from April 2 to April 15; both this deadline and others are outlined in detail on the student portal.
