Internationally, PUCP stands out with four subject areas placed within the global top 100: History and Development Studies, both ranked between positions 51 and 100; Law at position 91; and Modern Languages at position 96. Other notable placements include Archaeology and Social Policy & Administration within ranks 101–150, as well as Anthropology in the range of ranks 101–200.
Regionally, ten disciplines from PUCP are listed among the top ten in Latin America. These disciplines are Archaeology, History, English Language & Literature, Law, Modern Languages, Accounting & Finance, Development Studies, Civil & Structural Engineering, Psychology, and Social Policy & Administration.
The QS Ranking by Subject evaluates university performance across different fields using indicators such as academic reputation, employer reputation, research impact, and international reach. In its latest edition for 2026, more than 1,900 institutions worldwide were included.
PUCP said these results reflect ongoing recognition for its quality education standards and highlight the prestige of its faculty members and researchers as well as how graduates are valued in the labor market. The achievement is described as a demonstration of “the commitment of our entire university community to academic excellence, research and contribution to the country.”
