Dr. Oscar Miranda and Magister Oscar Pain provided information about Beca 18 – Pronabec scholarships. Dr. Nadia Gamboa reported on faculty management issues including hiring processes, changes in dedication levels, tenure track appointments, workload reductions, contract renewals, requests concerning retired faculty members, visiting professors’ lists, processed leaves of absence, winners of innovation funds in teaching practices, and special allocations for high research performance.
Dean Norma Rubio updated council members about Math Camp—a program designed to help pre-admitted students transition into university life.
The council approved two measures: reconstitution of the Mental Health Committee with Professor Cecilia Chau as president; and modifications to the University Council’s meeting calendar for 2026.
