The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), through Promovilidad, presented updates on the North–South trunk corridor project to the Municipal Council of the Provincial Municipality of Trujillo on March 27. The presentation aimed to inform local authorities about ongoing efforts to improve urban public transportation for residents.

This initiative is significant as it seeks to make daily travel more efficient and organized for thousands in the city. The proposed project includes a new transport system designed to facilitate movement, reduce travel times, and offer better service for users.

During the session, MTC representatives outlined key actions being taken toward creating a more orderly and accessible transportation system. They also discussed measures intended to strengthen the skills of those involved in public transit operations so they can adapt effectively as modernization progresses.

Officials said these steps are part of broader efforts by MTC and Promovilidad to work closely with local authorities in improving urban mobility conditions. The ministry emphasized its commitment “to drive improvements in urban transport, contributing to a more organized city with better mobility conditions for all.”
