The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) announced on March 30 its participation in the presentation of new digital applications designed to improve urban mobility and the travel experience for citizens in Trujillo. The event, organized through Promovilidad, introduced tools developed for the Provincial Municipality of Trujillo.

The initiative aims to strengthen public transportation by providing easier access to information about routes, stops, and itineraries. According to MTC, these digital solutions are intended to help organize daily commutes more efficiently.

The development of these applications was supported by German development cooperation (GIZ) and Swiss economic cooperation as part of the “Ciudades en Movimiento” (CIMO) project. The MTC said its involvement is part of its technical support role and commitment to promoting efficient, reliable, and sustainable alternatives to individual transportation.

During the presentation—which included authorities, officials, and stakeholders from urban transport—the importance of offering practical solutions that make using public transportation simpler and more predictable was highlighted.

According to MTC representatives at the event, these efforts are part of ongoing work aimed at making public transport more efficient and accessible while supporting orderly city development.
