The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) announced on March 23 that it is moving forward with several road infrastructure projects aimed at reducing transportation gaps in the district of Chaglla, located in the Huánuco region.
According to the ministry, these efforts are part of a broader strategy to strengthen connectivity within the country. The Vice Minister of Transport, Juan del Carmen Haro Muñoz, met with Alejandro Carbajal Durán, mayor of Chaglla district, to coordinate actions and speed up progress on key road initiatives in the area.
During their meeting, officials discussed progress on Section II of the Rancho – Panao – Rumichaca highway. The ministry reported that studies for this section have been completed and are now awaiting land clearance before construction can begin.
The MTC also said it will support local authorities through Provías Descentralizado by managing smaller bridge projects designed to improve local transport connections. In addition, technical assistance will be provided for incorporating roads into the National Road System (SINAC), which is expected to enhance both regional and national transportation links.
These measures reflect an ongoing commitment by the MTC to improve travel conditions and promote better integration within Chaglla district for residents of Huánuco region.
