More than 900 students received health services during an event at the Jardines de Manchay Educational Institution in Pachacámac, according to a May 3 announcement. The initiative was part of the Vaccination Week in the Americas 2026.
The campaign aimed to protect children by providing vaccines and additional health services, led by professionals from the Ministry of Health and Diris Lima Sur. Organizers said these efforts help ensure that students stay protected and support their overall well-being.
In addition to vaccinations, the event included anemia screenings and personalized nutritional counseling. These measures were intended to identify potential health problems early and encourage healthy habits among children.
According to officials, these activities are part of an ongoing commitment by the Ministry of Health to bring preventive services closer to school populations, especially in areas with greater needs for intervention.
The broader goal is to promote early detection of health issues and foster environments where children can grow up healthy.
