The Superintendencia Nacional de Bienes Estatales, under the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, announced on April 22 the first public auction of the year in Moquegua. Seven state-owned plots will be offered for housing and commercial development. The initiative aims to create jobs, attract private investment, and promote orderly urban growth that benefits local families.
According to the ministry, two parcels are located in Ilo province—measuring 48,786.53 square meters and 39,179.52 square meters—while five are situated in Moquegua city with areas ranging from nearly 197,000 square meters up to more than 536,000 square meters. These lands are intended for projects that address local demand for homes and businesses.
“The objective is to put state land into use to generate housing, employment and development. We want more families to access better living conditions and for Moquegua to continue growing in an orderly and sustainable way,” said the Minister of Housing.
Interested parties must submit documentation on May 4 at the SBN office on Chinchón Street in San Isidro. The public auction will take place on May 27 with a notary present; bidders may attend in person while observers can join virtually via videoconference after registering by May 26 through the SBN website.
