The Ministry of Health (Minsa) released on April 28 the final results of the evaluation for the Rural and Urban Marginal Health Service (Serums) 2026-I, which took place on Sunday, April 19 across all regions of Peru.
This announcement is important as it marks a key step in the selection process for health professionals who will serve in rural and underserved areas. The Serums program is considered essential for distributing healthcare workers throughout the country.
According to Minsa, professionals from twelve health science fields participated in this evaluation. These fields include human medicine, nursing, obstetrics, pharmacy and biochemistry, nutrition, dentistry, medical technology, psychology, social work, biology, veterinary medicine and sanitary engineering.
Applicants can check their scores through Minsa’s official website. Access to these results is required for registration in the next stage: assignment of Serums positions. The full list of scores can be found at this link.
The General Directorate of Health Personnel reported that a total of 36,978 professionals out of 39,762 registered candidates took part in the exam—representing a participation rate of 92.99 percent.
In its statement about the process Minsa said: “In this way Minsa fulfilled its commitment to carry out a transparent and high-quality evaluation. Likewise all activities planned at each stage were fully implemented according to the approved schedule with oversight by relevant authorities. This effort seeks to guarantee safety and fairness in position assignments upholding meritocracy principles that guide this process.”
