The Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced on April 21 that registration for the Service Rural and Urban Marginal Health (Serums) 2026-I placement process will begin on Thursday, April 23. The application period is open to professionals in human medicine, biology, nursing, sanitary engineering, pharmacy and biochemistry, veterinary medicine, nutrition, obstetrics, dentistry, psychology, medical technology and social work.
According to the General Directorate of Health Personnel (Digep), registration opens at midnight on April 23 and closes at 11:59 p.m. on April 28 nationwide. Applications must be submitted through the Serums Digital Application at https://serumsdigital.minsa.gob.pe/login/.
Before registering, applicants are required to download and carefully review the Instruction Manual, Offer of Paid and Equivalent Positions and Schedule. These documents provide essential information about how and when to register and apply, requirements for participation in the process, details about location and bonuses for each position offered under paid or equivalent modalities as well as key dates for position assignment. The documents are available at https://www.gob.pe/114100-documentos-de-consulta-para-postular-al-proceso-serums-2026-i.
For this process specifically, applicants with disabilities or those who are veterans of the Armed Forces can only register under these categories on April 23. Individuals with disabilities must attach their disability certificate or Conadis card; veterans must present a document certifying their status.
Applicants are responsible for correctly entering their information into the Serums application system. To participate in Serums 2026-I they must be health professionals with a degree registered with Sunedu as well as membership in their corresponding professional college.
The start date for paid service under Serums 2026-I is May 6 while equivalent service begins May 26. For this cycle there are a total of 7,489 paid positions available along with another 12,604 equivalent positions offered by Minsa.
Minsa reminds applicants that completion of Serums is a mandatory requirement to work in public sector health facilities and provides an opportunity to help improve health conditions among some of Peru’s most remote and underserved populations.
