The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) announced on March 30 that false secretarial resolutions are being circulated, which allegedly approve direct contracts or invitations for certain companies. According to the ministry, these communications are being spread by individuals posing as ‘brokers’ or ‘intermediaries.’

This warning is important because it addresses attempts to mislead the public and businesses with fraudulent documents and unofficial communication channels. The MTC emphasized that it does not work with brokers or intermediaries. All contracting processes follow current regulations and are conducted through official channels without improper payments or conditions.

The ministry also said that official communications are not sent via WhatsApp, nor through links or QR codes shared by such means. Formal information from the sector is only published through institutional channels, and citizens can verify the authenticity of resolutions at the MTC’s legal norms portal.

Citizens are urged not to be deceived by these schemes and to report any attempt at fraud or improper mediation using the provided email address, phone number, or government reporting website.

The MTC stated it is taking appropriate actions to identify those responsible for these incidents in accordance with the law.
