Ministry of Transport and Communications discusses infrastructure projects in Parinacochas province

The Ministry of Transport and Communications held a meeting on Apr. 28 with the mayor of the Provincial Municipality of Parinacochas, Yony Reyes Anampa, to review progress on road and airport infrastructure projects in Ayacucho.

The discussion focused on efforts to improve connectivity and support economic activity in southern Peru. According to the ministry, these initiatives aim to close infrastructure gaps and promote development for local communities.

During the meeting, officials reviewed the status of the corridor that connects Yauca – San Juan – Coracora / Chala – Coracora – Puquio / Ullaccasa – Quilcata – Pausa. The ministry said maintenance and improvement work has resumed after the rainy season using basic solutions to ensure safe travel for passengers as well as transportation for agricultural and livestock products from the region. The future Parinacochas Airport project was also discussed, with technical teams from the ministry providing specialized assistance so that necessary studies can move forward.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications supports cultural and social wellbeing by improving national connectivity through enhanced transport and communications infrastructure according to its official website.
