The Ministry of Transport and Communications approved its Integrity Program 2026, according to a March 17 announcement. The program is described as a key tool to strengthen efforts against corruption and promote transparent and responsible public management.

The ministry formalized the approval through Ministerial Resolution No. 129-2026-MTC/01, which sets out a roadmap for implementing planned actions aimed at reinforcing public integrity, managing corruption risks, and building an organizational culture based on ethical principles.

The document outlines 38 specific actions designed to close institutional gaps and reinforce prevention and control mechanisms within the sector. These measures are intended to ensure that the ministry’s processes and decisions adhere to standards of transparency, responsibility, and good governance.

Oversight of the program will be handled by the Office of Integrity and Fight Against Corruption. This office will monitor progress toward each goal, promote a culture of integrity throughout all areas of the ministry, and ensure effective execution of planned actions.

According to the ministry, these steps reaffirm its commitment to integrity in public management. The statement said that fighting corruption is essential for strengthening public trust and advancing connectivity projects that benefit all Peruvians.
