The Ministry of Production (PRODUCE) announced on April 14 that it carried out the “Potencia Tu Empresa” strategy at the CIMAC Higher Education Institute, providing students and entrepreneurs with training in digital tools and artificial intelligence for business.
This event marks the first time such an initiative has been implemented at a technical institute in the region. The program aims to provide essential knowledge for creating and managing businesses in increasingly digital environments.
“We are betting on young talent. Today we take an important step by bringing this strategy to technical institutes because we want more students to become entrepreneurs, formalize their ventures, and use tools like artificial intelligence to grow their businesses. This is a line of work that we will continue promoting nationwide,” said Vice Minister Juan Carlos Requejo Alemán.
The training covered topics such as digital content creation, brand positioning, e-commerce, and incorporating artificial intelligence into business processes. The goal is to improve the competitiveness of new enterprises and help them enter the market successfully.
Requejo also met with representatives from the Regional Directorate of Production to discuss expanding these training sessions throughout the region. The aim is to reach more students and future entrepreneurs by scaling up this intervention at a regional level.
During his visit, Requejo visited Trade Sandder Group S.A.C., where he highlighted how technological services provided by ITP red CITE have improved productivity and innovation in leather and footwear sectors. In Arequipa, three CITE centers support improvements across agroindustry, leather/footwear, and textile sectors related to camelids.
