The Ministry of Production announced on April 1 that it will organize more than 275 ‘Mi Pescadería’ fairs across the country during Holy Week. The initiative, carried out through the National Program “A Comer Pescado” (PNACP), aims to provide thousands of families with access to fresh and affordable fish and seafood products.
The fairs will take place from March 30 to April 4, with a goal of promoting over 150 tons of hydrobiological products. This effort is intended to help maintain the tradition of eating fish during this season, while also focusing on nutrition, family economy, and food security.
According to the Ministry, these events will reach all regions in Peru, reinforcing their commitment to bringing high-nutritional-value foods closer to people. The timing coincides with increased demand for fish during Holy Week.
In addition to improving access to quality products, PRODUCE and PNACP say they are encouraging healthy eating habits and supporting the fishing production chain. They highlight that this campaign contributes not only to nutrition but also supports Peruvian families during an important holiday period.
For those interested in attending one of these fairs or learning about their locations, information is available at the official schedule.
