The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation organized the “APEC Project Formulation Workshop for the Ministry of Housing” on March 25. The event aimed to strengthen international cooperation and promote initiatives that align with sector priorities.
The workshop was conducted through the Office of Cooperation and International Affairs, in coordination with the Directorate of APEC and Specialized Forums from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It took place under the APEC Citizen program, which seeks to enhance institutional collaboration for better use of international cooperation opportunities.
During this activity, technical teams from the ministry improved their skills in identifying, structuring, and formulating cooperation proposals that can be submitted through APEC. Participants also learned more about available funding opportunities within this forum.
APEC funding can reach up to USD 150,000 per project for technical cooperation initiatives such as capacity building activities, workshops, seminars, studies, research projects, and spaces for international collaboration among member economies. This support is expected to strengthen public management and improve services provided to citizens.
According to officials at the ministry, these efforts are part of ongoing work to consolidate participation in international cooperation mechanisms that help improve sector management and generate positive impacts nationwide.
