The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation delivered 421 property titles in the Ucayali region on April 15, aiming to strengthen legal security for families and promote orderly urban development.
This action is significant as it helps more than 1,600 people gain formal access to land ownership and public services. The ministry reported that 387 families received registered property titles, while an additional 34 lots were formalized for public services such as education and health.
The delivery took place at the Venecia Human Settlement, Miraflores neighborhood extension in Yarinacocha district. Titles were distributed across Atalaya, Coronel Portillo, and Padre Abad provinces. “These titles are important because they allow access to credit, improvements to homes, and basic services. For the year 2026, COFOPRI has set a goal of registering 1,600 property titles in Ucayali. With these titles, greater development can be achieved and legal security provided both for children and parents,” said representatives from the Ministry of Housing.
The event was part of the “Familia Segura en Propiedad Segura” campaign that brings state services directly to families—even those who have waited over fifteen years for formalization.
As part of its ongoing agenda in Ucayali, the ministry also handed over an Accessible Social Interest Home in Yarinacocha district under the Techo Propio program. The home was given to Fátima Añape Viena and Jaime Asipali Sánchez; Mr. Asipali Sánchez has a severe disability requiring wheelchair use. The house was designed with accessibility features funded entirely by the program at S/40,125.
According to the official website, the Ministry contributes to social wellbeing by improving access to housing and basic services for sustainable territorial development throughout Peru. It operates autonomously within Peru’s Executive Branch under Law No. 27779 as stated on its website, maintaining headquarters in San Isidro (Lima) along with regional centers nationwide according to official information. The ministry develops policies promoting sustainable housing access and urban growth as outlined online, serving communities across Peru through various initiatives.
By continuing these efforts—including issuing supportive policies on housing and water management—the ministry aims to improve living conditions especially among lower-income groups according to its mandate.
