The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation announced on Apr. 25 the start of urban improvement works in the district of Pucará, located in the province of Lampa. The project is set to benefit approximately 850 residents by improving mobility and recovering public spaces for local families.
This initiative is significant as it aims to enhance safety and accessibility for pedestrians and vehicles, with a focus on children, older adults, and people with disabilities. The investment totals S/ 8,405,988.40 and covers the neighborhoods of 24 de Diciembre, Progreso, and Cerro Colorado through upgrades to roads, sidewalks, green areas, and stormwater drainage systems.
The project will include paving over 13,667 square meters of streets; constructing more than 9,700 square meters of concrete sidewalks; installing over 6,500 square meters of paving stones; implementing nearly 3.5 kilometers worth of stormwater drainage; and creating more than 2,000 square meters of green areas.
