The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation announced on March 18 the launch of its first public auction of state-owned land for the year, offering 20 plots in Barranca, Huaraz, Ilo, and Moquegua. The initiative aims to attract private investment for projects that could improve living conditions for thousands of families.

The total area available is over 3.7 million square meters. These plots are intended to support housing, commercial, and service projects. According to the ministry, this move is expected to boost local economies, create jobs, and expand access to urban infrastructure in areas with significant growth potential.

The process will be managed by the National Superintendency of State Assets (SBN) using a transparent and competitive mechanism. Interested parties must submit their proposals in sealed envelopes and may improve their offers during an open bidding session at the public event. This approach is designed to ensure equal opportunities for all participants.

Submission of proposals will take place on Monday, May 4 at the SBN headquarters in San Isidro. The public auction will be held on Wednesday, May 27 at the same location with a notary present to guarantee legality and transparency.

“This auction not only promotes investment but also translates into real opportunities for Peruvian families. Each awarded plot can become homes, services or productive spaces that improve people’s lives. We are working so that development reaches more regions with order and equity,” said representatives from the Ministry of Housing.

Administrative guidelines and details about the process are available on the official SBN website: https://web.sbn.gob.pe/subastas.
