The Ministry of Health announced on April 22 that it will hold a free medical campaign at the Elías Aguirre stadium in Chiclayo from Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26. The event is part of the Minsa Móvil strategy and aims to provide preventive health services closer to residents of the Lambayeque region.
The initiative seeks to make specialized healthcare more accessible for families who may have difficulty traveling long distances for treatment. During the three-day campaign, people of all ages can receive care in specialties such as pediatrics, psychiatry, cardiology, gynecology, pulmonology, ophthalmology, dermatology, endocrinology, family medicine and otolaryngology. General medicine services will also be available along with obstetrics, psychology, nutrition and optometry.
According to the Ministry of Health’s announcement, this comprehensive approach is intended not only for treating illnesses but also for early prevention. Attendees are encouraged to bring their identification documents and can access services starting at 8:00 a.m. each day.
In addition to consultations with specialists and general practitioners, the campaign will include free distribution of medicines and reading glasses so that patients can begin treatment immediately or continue ongoing care without delay.
The Ministry said these actions reaffirm its commitment “to bring health services where they are most needed,” emphasizing efforts to provide timely and quality care for families in Lambayeque.
