The Ministry of Health, through the Directorate of Integrated Health Networks Lima Sur, announced on May 2 that it carried out a free vaccination campaign at Real Plaza Guardia Civil in the district of Chorrillos. More than 260 people received vaccines during this event, which is part of the Vaccination Week in the Americas.

The initiative aims to increase immunization coverage and protect the population from preventable diseases. By bringing health services closer to citizens, authorities seek to make vaccinations more accessible for all.

According to the Ministry, children, adolescents, pregnant women, and older adults were among those who received vaccines during this activity. The ministry said these efforts help reinforce protection for vulnerable groups and strengthen public health overall. The campaign will continue on Sunday, May 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

“Vaccination is one of the most effective measures to prevent serious diseases,” said the Ministry of Health. The ministry also encouraged families to complete their vaccination schedules and protect their loved ones.

The Ministry emphasized that vaccinations are available throughout the year at all health centers nationwide.
