The Ministry of Health announced on March 16 that it has launched a mobile medical campaign in Ayabaca to provide specialized care to families impacted by recent heavy rains and landslides in the region.

This initiative is part of immediate actions ordered by the government to protect communities affected during the rainy season. The campaign aims to ensure access to health services for those most affected by the emergency, focusing on timely and specialized attention.

A team of ten specialist doctors will participate in the campaign, offering services in gynecology, geriatrics, pediatrics, psychiatry, dermatology, traumatology, family medicine, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and endocrinology. Additional complementary services will also be available for children, youth, adults, and seniors.

The Ministry said that through this effort, residents of Ayabaca and nearby communities will receive comprehensive health care. Priority will be given to families directly impacted by the adverse weather events. The campaign seeks to strengthen prevention measures as well as diagnosis and treatment capabilities.

According to the Ministry of Health, its ongoing presence with Minsa Móvil in emergency zones demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding the lives and well-being of citizens in Ayabaca and surrounding areas.
