The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism announced on May 4 that it will organize an informational fair and a series of training sessions in Loreto on May 5 and 6, aimed at supporting the formalization of tourism-related businesses in the region.
This initiative is intended to help entrepreneurs and business owners understand how to formalize their operations, which can provide them with access to official benefits. The activities are part of the “Jornada de Apoyo y Asesoramiento para la Formalización Empresarial en el Sector Turismo – Región Loreto” (Support and Advisory Day for Business Formalization in the Tourism Sector – Loreto Region) and are organized with the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Dircetur) of Loreto as well as the Provincial Municipality of Maynas.
The first event, an informational fair, will take place on May 5 at Alameda de Iquitos. Various public entities will be present to explain existing mechanisms for formalizing tourism services, facilitate registration processes, introduce attendees to the “Turismo Seguro” strategy, and share information about a public contest called “Somos Artesanía,” which supports artisan projects. Participating organizations include PromPerú, Sunarp, Sunat, PRODUCE, Indecopi, Migraciones, Sunafil, Tourist Police, Sernanp, Dircetur Loreto, among others.
On May 6 at Auditorio del MAC (Av. La Marina N.º 1338), allied entities will offer a training session for tourism service providers focusing on current regulations and advantages related to formalization.
