The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism announced on April 27 that it will organize an information fair and a training session in Áncash on April 29 and 30, aimed at helping tourism businesses formalize their operations.
This initiative is intended to support entrepreneurs in the tourism sector by providing resources for business formalization. The event, which will take place at the Plaza de Armas in Huaraz, is coordinated with the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Áncash (Dircetur) and the Provincial Municipality of Huaraz. It forms part of the “Business Formalization Support Day for the Tourism Sector – Áncash Region”.
The fair will feature participation from several partner entities who will inform attendees about mechanisms for formalizing tourism services, as well as explain related benefits. Attendees can also begin administrative procedures during the event. The Ministry said this activity allows it to present its “Safe Tourism” strategy as well as introduce a public contest called “Somos Artesanía,” which supports artisan projects.
Speakers at the event include representatives from PromPerú, Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion, National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat), National Superintendence of Public Registries (Sunarp), National Superintendence of Labor Inspection (Sunafil), National Institute for Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi), Regional Directorate of Labor and Employment Promotion in Áncash, National Service for State-Protected Natural Areas (Sernanp), Police Tourist Station Huaraz, Decentralized Directorate for Culture in Áncash, Dircetur Áncash, and local government officials. On April 30, allied entities will provide targeted training to tourism service providers about current regulations and advantages associated with business formalization.
