Ministry of Education launches webinar series to strengthen university research and scientific output

The Ministry of Education of Peru announced on Apr. 28 a new series of free webinars aimed at improving research skills in Peruvian universities and enhancing the quality of national scientific production.

This initiative is designed to address challenges within the higher education system, such as building a strong research culture and increasing international impact. The webinars, titled “Publish with Advantage: Modern Techniques for Producing High-Impact Articles,” will focus on key aspects like selecting suitable academic journals, ethical use of artificial intelligence tools, article writing, and managing editorial reviews.

Minister of Education María Esther Cuadros said that strengthening university research is essential for the country’s development. “From the Ministry of Education, we are committed to offering concrete tools that allow our teachers and students to produce quality knowledge with international standards and real impact on society,” Cuadros said.

The program consists of four specialized sessions scheduled between April and May. Topics include strategies for choosing journals to avoid rejection, responsible use of artificial intelligence in research, techniques for responding to reviewers, and methods for structuring publishable articles from the start. The webinars are open to teachers, researchers, students, and university administrators nationwide; they will be broadcast free via Facebook Live by Minedu and on the PerúEduca platform. Participants who attend at least three live sessions will receive an official certificate.
