The Ministry of Economy and Finance announced on March 16 the launch of the third edition of its University Extension Course (CEU) +Líderes 2026, a program aimed at training young graduates in economic management for the public sector. Applications will be open from March 20 to March 23 through the ministry’s online platform.

The initiative seeks to strengthen the skills of recent graduates in Economics, Economic Engineering, and Finance by offering specialized training in public policy, advanced macroeconomics, and state economic management. The program is free and targets participants from across the country.

According to the ministry, applicants can review requirements and curriculum details on its official website. The course will cover key areas such as macrofiscal policy, public and private investment, public budgeting, debt management, international economics, productivity, and artificial intelligence applied to economics. “Peru needs more talented young people committed to the country’s development. With CEU +Líderes we want to train a new generation of professionals capable of contributing to the design of economic policies that drive growth and improve citizens’ lives,” said Minister of Economy and Finance Gerardo López.

The program offers 40 spots for selected participants who will attend from April 20 to July 20. Top performers may have opportunities for professional incorporation into the Ministry based on their results and institutional needs.

In its first two editions,+Líderes enabled 76 young professionals nationwide to complete over 380 hours of intensive training with national and international instructors. More information about CEU +Líderes 2026 is available on the ministry’s campaign site.
