The Ministry of Culture recognized Victoria Azucena de María Arrasco Ruiz, Hugo Suárez Flores, Inés Pasic de Suárez, and Alicia Núñez del Prado Ismodes as Meritorious Personalities of Culture on March 21. The recognition was granted through Ministerial Resolutions No. 063-2026-MC, 064-2026-MC, 065-2026-MC, and 066-2026-MC in acknowledgment of their artistic careers and contributions to the development and promotion of puppetry in Peru.
The honorees have worked for more than forty years in stage creation, artistic training, and cultural promotion. Through their companies, educational processes, performances, and participation in national and international festivals, they have contributed to strengthening the puppetry movement and expanding public access to performing arts.
