The Ministry of Culture of Peru announced on Apr. 21 the opening of a call for professionals in the film and audiovisual sector to join its juror database for evaluating Economic Incentives supporting cinematographic and audiovisual activities in 2026, as part of Law No. 32309.
This initiative aims to enhance transparency, diversity, and quality in evaluation processes by including specialists from various backgrounds within the sector. The process is designed to update the pool of potential jurors who will be responsible for selecting projects that receive financial support.
Interested professionals are required to complete an online form available on the website of the Directorate of Audiovisuals, Phonography and New Media (DAFO), specifying their area of expertise and submitting a documented curriculum vitae. The applications will be reviewed according to criteria established in each incentive line’s rules. It is clarified that registration does not guarantee selection as a juror, and those chosen as evaluators cannot apply for economic incentives during this cycle.
In 2025, seventy-four professionals—thirty-four men and forty women—served as jurors assessing over five hundred film and audiovisual projects nationwide. For 2026, more than S/29.5 million will be allocated across calls aimed at development, production, post-production of short films and feature films (fiction or documentary), international co-productions, and cultural management initiatives.
