José Reyes, Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, took part in a working session led by Prime Minister José Luis Arroyo on March 18. The meeting focused on setting the main priorities for the executive branch following the recent formation of the new ministerial cabinet.
The session began early in the day, with Arroyo leading ministers in discussions aimed at strengthening national security and defense, maintaining economic stability, and ensuring an orderly electoral process along with a secure democratic transition.
After the meeting, Reyes spoke to the press about the importance of coordinated efforts within the executive branch. “(We are) advancing on issues that are important for the country, regarding citizen security, continuity of activities and designated functions, and climate-related matters,” Reyes said.
This gathering is among the first actions taken by the new cabinet to establish a clear roadmap. The measures discussed are intended to support growth, reinforce governance, and build public trust.
