José Reyes, Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, met with Gilmer Horna, the regional governor of Amazonas, on April 8 to coordinate actions aimed at developing tourism in the region.
The meeting focused on advancing tourism in Amazonas by discussing current progress and identifying needs. This coordination is part of a broader strategy led by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism to promote territorial development across Peru.
A key topic was investment in tourist infrastructure, which aims to improve visitor experiences through better services. The participants also addressed recent heavy rains affecting the region. The ministry is working with local authorities and relevant agencies to ensure continued tourism activities while prioritizing safety for both visitors and residents.
