The Presidency of the Council of Ministers announced on March 1 that a team of Korean specialists visited Peru to support the implementation of the country’s Integrated State Document Management System (SGD Perú). The visit was organized by the Secretariat of Government and Digital Transformation as part of an ongoing partnership with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica).

This collaboration aims to speed up document processing in government, reduce response times, and strengthen transparency in public administration. The initiative is expected to benefit millions of Peruvians by improving how public services are delivered.

According to the announcement, the technical mission made significant progress in designing the new system. All ministries participated actively in these activities, which helped create a coordinated approach for building national digital platforms.

The SGD Perú will allow public entities to digitize their entire document lifecycle using secure and standardized methods. This will enable better interoperability with other state platforms such as Mesa Digital Perú, Casilla Única Perú, ID GOB.PE, the State Interoperability Platform (PIDE), Firma Perú, and additional government services. As a result, citizens should experience faster service from public institutions.

Completion of SGD Perú is scheduled for 2027 under an inter-institutional cooperation agreement signed by KOICA, the Peruvian Agency for International Cooperation (APCI), and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers through its Secretariat of Government and Digital Transformation.
