The I Cumbre de la Red CITE del ITP 2026 will feature ten micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises from various regions of Peru sharing their success stories, according to a March 17 announcement. These businesses have benefited from innovation, technology transfer, and specialized support provided by the CITE network, which has helped them transform their operations and position their products in both national and international markets.

The participating companies come from Lima, Ica, Moquegua, La Libertad, Ucayali, Cusco, and Arequipa. They represent sectors such as agroindustry, fishing, leather and footwear, forestry wood products, and textiles. With guidance from the CITE centers, many of these businesses have improved production processes, enhanced product quality, strengthened branding efforts, and gained access to new markets—including exports abroad.

Highlighted initiatives include Palta del Mar (Lima) and Emolinka (Ica) in agroindustry; Olaya (Lima) and Asociación Las Brisas (Moquegua) in fishing; Joli Joli (La Libertad) and Caxacori Studio (Lima) in leather and footwear; Shinanti (Ucayali) and Tento (Lima) in forestry wood products; as well as Runaura (Cusco) and Away (Arequipa) in textiles. All these companies share the common experience of receiving technical support from the CITE network to innovate and boost competitiveness.

Attendees at the summit will be able to learn about these experiences firsthand in a special area dedicated to success stories. Entrepreneurs will display their products while explaining how technological advice, improved quality standards, and innovation adoption enabled them to scale up their businesses for domestic and international consolidation.

The event is scheduled for March 19-20 at the Cámara de Comercio de Lima. It aims to bring together business leaders, national and international specialists, public sector representatives, academics, and entrepreneurs from across Peru. Organizers say the summit seeks to position the CITE network as a strategic partner for micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises by promoting innovation and productive development. Participation is free with prior registration.
