Hospital Santa Rosa de Pueblo Libre announced on April 27 that it began its vaccination campaign as part of Vaccination Week in the Americas, immunizing more than 200 people on the first day. The event was attended by children, adolescents, pregnant women, and older adults seeking to strengthen their health through vaccination.

The launch included Dr. Luis Guzmán Aquije, director general of Hospital Santa Rosa, and Dr. Ledys Alberto Rodríguez Morales, head of the Pediatrics Department. Both were joined by the Immunization Service team to support the campaign and reaffirm their commitment to public health.

“Vaccination is fundamental for preventing diseases, protecting families and strengthening public health. At Hospital Santa Rosa we reaffirm our commitment to provide safe, timely and quality care, ensuring access to vaccines for all our patients,” said Guzmán Aquije during his remarks.

The hospital stated that the campaign will continue throughout the week at its Immunization Service. More than 20 vaccines are available free of charge for people at all stages of life.

Children are receiving vaccines such as polio, pneumococcus, MMR (measles, mumps and rubella), chickenpox and hepatitis A as part of their immunization schedule. Adolescents can receive the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine for cancer prevention. Adults have access to essential vaccines like diphtheria, tetanus and pneumococcus—especially important for older adults—while pregnant women can get DTPA (diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis), hepatitis B and influenza vaccines that protect both mother and baby.

Users can also review their vaccination records quickly online via https://minsadigital.minsa.gob.pe/login.

The Ministry of Health and Hospital Santa Rosa de Pueblo Libre invite everyone in the community to participate in this campaign to protect themselves and their families.
